ACCI Principal Investigators Convene in Chennai to Advance Cancer Care Initiatives
December 19-20, 2022 | Chennai, India

Over two crucial days in Chennai, the principal investigators (PIs) of Access Cancer Care India (ACCI) convened to steer the project's trajectory towards a stronger implementation plan. Held on the 19th and 20th of December, the participants delved into the current landscape of healthcare at their respective pilot sites, pinpointing challenges and affirming their commitment to the project's success. A noteworthy segment of the meeting was the panel discussion, where experts deliberated on the intricacies of engaging with stakeholders.

Key administrative prerequisites were addressed, ensuring that the project's operations run seamlessly. A significant update for members was the confirmed receipt of ethics and regulatory approval for ACCI, indicating green lights on the compliance front.

In the meeting's concluding stages, a breakout group discussion was orchestrated, where the implementation team crystallized a concrete plan and established pivotal site-specific milestones. Moreover, the final discussions centred around tools and training needs, fortifying the project's foundation.

With such targeted deliberations, ACCI's mission to complement and enhance cancer early detection in the selected sites is notably gaining momentum.
